5 Pre Workout Snack Ideas - (30 Minutes Before Training)
Simple Pre-Workout Ideas
Fueling your body before a workout shouldn't be as complex as calculus. The goal is to have something light, energizing, and easy to digest, especially closer to your session. Aim to have a light snack 30 minutes before training or a bigger meal atleast 90 minutes before training.
The closer your meal is to your workout, the more you should focus on simple carbohydrates. If you’ve got more time, you can choose for a more balanced meal that includes carbs, protein, and fats.
Banana or another fruit
Bananas are especially great as they provide a quick source of carbohydrates and potassium. Other great options include oranges, bowl of berries, an apple or mango.
How to Prepare:
- Peel the banana (just kidding, but yes, definitely peel it)
Greek Yogurt Parfait
Light, quick to prepare, and easy to eat and on the stomach. You can mix and match toppings to add variety. But probably not raisons. I mean if you want to, no judgement.
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup granola
- Handful of berries or other
- Drizzle of honey or other
How to Prepare:
- Mix.

Ingredients:

- ½ to 1 cup water/ milk alternative (depending on your desired consistency)
- ½ scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
How to Prepare:
- Blend until smooth. or chunky if you prefer. Again NO judgement!

Prepare for your evening workout with a sweet and satisfying snack. I had this once years ago somewhere and can't believe I never though of it before. Life changing.
Ingredients:

- Sour dough toast or other
How to Prepare:
- Soften the butter if needed for 5 to 10 seconds in microwave.
- Mix the butter and honey together.
- Spread the honey butter on a slice of toast.
Dried Fruit
Super easy as you just have to buy it. My personal favs are dried mango, but also include dates, apricots and I guess raisins.
How to Prepare:
